Several Mid-South companies look to fill around 400 positions at job fair

SOUTHAVEN, MS -

(WMC) – Dozens of Mid-South employers will be under one roof to hire hundreds of people during a job fair happening on Tuesday, May 13.

From white and blue collar workers, to law enforcement; the Acts Career Center wants to help put people of all walks of life back to work.

The center offers a variety of things like help with resume writing and interviewing skills.

Several companies will be on hand to see if you have what it takes to start your career. There are up to 400 jobs available. Some of the companies looking for employees include Memphis Police Department, Regions Bank, Dollar Tree, Nike and Regional One Medical Center.

Organizers say before you come, make sure you are prepared. Remember this will be your first impression in front of your potential future employer.

Executive Director of Acts Career Center Pennie Nelson says, "Make sure you have resumes on quality paper with no errors. And your dress is appropriate."

The job fair will take place from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Brown M.B. Church, which is located at 980 Stateline Road in Southaven, Mississippi.
