Child on bike hit by car in Evans County

CLAXTON, GA (WTOC) -

Officials are investigating after a child was hit while riding a bike Tuesday in Evans County.

Claxton Fire and the Evans County Sheriff's Office say an 8-year-old boy was riding his bike on Littles Street in Claxton and was hit by a car late Tuesday.

The child was flown to a hospital in Savannah. Officials are not sure of his condition at this point.

No other details have been released at this time.
