BRYAN CO., GA (WTOC) -

WTOC is learning more details about an investigation involving Bryan County High School teacher Zachary Giebner.

He's accused of being inappropriate with a student on an overnight school trip, but at this point has not been charged with any crime.

The victim's grandfather said his granddaughter is not saying much about what happened until she graduates from Bryan County High School, but he said there was inappropriate touching.

Giebner resigned a couple of weeks ago while the Byran County School System conducted their own investigation.

The grandfather said the incident happened in November when his granddaughter was on school trip for a cross country meet.

Giebner was her coach and he said somehow she ended up in his room. He also believes there was alcohol involved.

He said his granddaughter was not the one who tipped off school officials to this incident. He said when she got back from the trip she never mentioned that anything was wrong.

Everything the grandfather said lines up with what school officials have said. The case has been turned over to Coweta County Sheriff's Office where this alleged incident happened.

The grandfather said they have gotten a lawyer, but they have not yet decided if they are going to file a lawsuit.
