ECSO Deputy killed in line of duty to be remembered

EFFINGHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

An Effingham County Sheriff's Deputy killed in the line of duty will have his name placed on the Wall of Fallen Officers, and will be honored on Monday, at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Forsyth.

Corporal Dennis Wright was killed in an automobile accident on Jimmy Deloach Parkway in Chatham County, after leaving a South Georgia Traffic Enforcement Conference Meeting in Pooler, on Nov. 17, 2006. 

The driver of a vehicle made a turn in front of Corporal Wright's patrol car, causing a serious collision. Corporal Wright died at the scene.  

Sheriff Jimmy McDuffie, along with other Effingham County deputies, will attend Monday's service in Forsyth.
