Who said the kitchen was for ladies only? A few men right here in the Coastal Empire are getting ready to set the record straight. Businessmen will trade in their suits for aprons at Savannah's sixth annual 100 Celebrity Men Who Cook competition.
They'll be whipping up a variety of dishes from Southern favorites like collard greens to ethnic specialties like Jewish chicken soup.
"We bring celebrity men in from across the community, and each of them prepare a wonderful dish, so they are able to display their culinary skills," said organizer Carol Bell of the United Negro College Fun. "The community is invited to come and share in a major tasting party."
You can taste for yourself on Sunday, December 12, at the Marriott Riverfront. Tickets are $20. All of the proceeds go to the UNCF. WTOC is a proud sponsor of the event.
