BCSO investigates multiple vehicle break-ins overnight

LADY'S ISLAND, SC (WTOC) -

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office is looking into a rash of vehicle break-ins overnight. 

BCSO officials say they received multiple reports of vehicle break-ins that happened overnight in the areas of Pleasant Point and E. River Dr on Lady's Island. So far, all of the vehicles reportedly entered were left unsecured. 

Investigators believe the break-ins occurred after 7 p.m. Monday night and are asking residents for any information regarding suspicious person(s) or vehicles seen in the area during that time. 

Anyone with information regarding suspicious activity, person(s), or vehicles noted in these areas, and/or anyone who believes that their vehicle may have been tampered with is asked to contact either Investigator SSgt. J. Fraser at 843.255.3416 or Crimestoppers. 

To report crime, citizens can call Crimestoppers at 1.888.CRIME.SC (274-6372) or text the word TIPSC with a message to CRIMES (274637). 

BCSO would also like to remind residents to secure their vehicles doors and windows, and to remove items of value before leaving vehicles unattended.
