BRUNSWICK, GA (WTOC) -

Police in Brunswick have arrested a man wanted for attempted kidnapping and making terroristic threats for an incident that occurred in August 2007.

The Brunswick Police Department says Robert Ray Vickers, 32, of Midway, was arrested on May 6 for three counts of criminal attempt to commit kidnapping and one count of terroristic threats for an incident that happened in August of 2007 at the parking lot of the Winn-Dixie store on Altama Avenue.

Officials say that following a major upgrade to the Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification System maintained by the FBI, a print obtained from the victim's vehicle at the time of the incident was re-entered into the system by BPD investigators and Vickers came back as a possible suspect.

An investigation led to warrants and the arrest of Vickers.

BPD officials say Vickers is currently incarcerated on an unrelated murder charge that occurred in February in Wayne County.
