SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Savannah College of Art and Design students made their movie debut on Wednesday.

SCAD's film department teamed up with the Chatham County Sheriff's Office to produce a four minute recruitment video.

The four minute film was unveiled at a viewing party at the Royal Cinemas in Pooler.

The film highlights many of the departments within the sheriff's office. Students said it was a win-win for both groups.

"It's really cool because we had access to things we would have never had access to, like a helicopter and patrol cars and just being in the jail," said student Gabe Gilden. "So we saved them a lot of money, but they also helped us out because that's stuff we can put on our reels and in our resume, so it is a big help to us as well."

Gilden was able to work with his professors and was able to use the film as an independent study and get college credit for his hard work.
