On Monday afternoon, Buddy Carter and
Richmond Hill Mayor Harold Fowler took part in the Laying of the Wreath service
that included a 21 gun salute to honor those who serve today, as well as those
who have given their lives in service to our country.
"Well, the significance of the day is that we
honor those who gave their lives in the defense of our freedom while in
service," said Lt. Col. Jason Kidder. "The ceremony today is in Richmond Hill,
a very patriotic town. They're very staunch supporters of the Third Infantry
Division, and the U.S. Army, and all of our soldiers and sailors across the
