Inmate sentenced to life for killing cellmate over candy

A Clayton County judge has sentenced an inmate to life in prison for killing his cell mate over chocolate candy.

Attorney's said the two men were fighting over a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup.

The inmate, William Brooks, killed Kenneth Gronchowski at the Clayton County Jail.

Officials said Gronchowski was eating one of the peanut butter cups out of the pack but Brooks wanted the other one.

When the inmate refused to share they said Brooks began to punch the other inmate in the throat and face several times.

He then slammed the inmate's face on the toilet and attempted to drown him.

Gronchowski later died.
