According to Forbes.com, approximately 42 percent of American workers have quit their job due to stress. But there are simple ways to de-stress and re-energize at work and one of them, is yoga.

Ellen Bradley, co-owner of MODO Yogo Cincinnati, appeared on Tuesday's FOX19 Morning News to talk about yogo.

De-Stressing and re-energizing yoga moves

Tree: Tree pose is a standing post focuses on lengthening the entire body, from your toes through your fingers as you stretch them above your head. It strengthens your ankles, calves, thighs and spine, plus, it improves balance.

Crescent moon: Crescent moon is a pose you'll do from the floor, with one knee bent at a 90-degree angle in front of you while you rest on your other knee, shin flat on the floor. You'll strengthen and lengthen your core with this pose. The gentle backward bend will also relieve tension in your shoulders.

Forward fold: A Forward fold strengthens back muscles and activates the belly. Deepening the pose will stretch hamstrings and give your body an energetic jolt.
Forearm and hand stretching: Stretching the muscles in your forearm and hands can reduce tension, stress and lessen the effects of carpal tunnel syndrome.

Remember to breathe. Breathing is essential to yoga practice; it connects our bodies with our minds and allows for deep inner reflection. Concentrating on your breathing, even for a few minutes during each work day, can reduce stress, quiet your mind and connect you to your body.
