Woman pleads guilty to tampering with evidence in Brunswick child murder case

BRUNSWICK, GA (WTOC) -

The sister of a teen who shot and killed a 13-month-old boy last year in Brunswick has pleaded guilty to tampering with evidence.

Sabrina Elkins admitted to helping get rid of the gun her brother, De'Marquise Elkins, used to shoot Antonio Santiago.

Elkins will face up to 10 years in prison.

Santiago was killed while on a neighborhood stroll with his mother, who was shot in the leg.

De'Marquise Elkins was convicted and sentenced to life in prison.
