Palmetto Electric kicks off Million Dollar Hole-in-One event

BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) -

Palmetto Electric is kicking off their 12th Annual Million Dollar Hole in One charity event at the Old South Golf Links in Bluffton.

The event will be held from Thursday, May 29, to Saturday, May 31. It will give golfers in the area an opportunity to win $1 million and a Ford Fiesta Sedan, courtesy of O.C. Welch, or a trip to Las Vegas.

All you have to do is hit a ball in the hole, but you only get one shot.

All of the proceeds from the event go to Bright Ideas, which helps teachers get new supplies and equipment for their classrooms.

"It is wonderful to be able to give back to the teachers and students. It is very rewarding, and in addition to being a worthwhile event, it is a very fun event," said Jimmy Baker, Palmetto Electric.

WTOC's Sales Representative, Chris Muth, participated in the event in 2012, and we won the trip to Vegas. He is back out there again this year.
