No suspects named yet in Bluffton homicide

BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) -

It's been almost two weeks since the death of 70-year-old Pollyann Mitchell.

So far Bluffton police have not charged anyone with her homicide. Investigators still believe Jerry Manigault, who faces murder charges in the death of a Charleston woman, is their prime suspect, but Manigault still refuses to talk to them.

Mitchell's death has been painstakingly difficult for family members who want justice and closure.

"She always told me I was the daughter she never had, and it still gets hard to know that she's not here and I want to go home, but I can't go home and I just want to say thank you to everyone who has been there for us. This is a very hard time, but we are trying our best to get through it with everyone's help," said her granddaughter, Monique Bryant.

Police say they have eliminated several suspects and are waiting on more forensic evidence to come back soon.
