Guyton man held on $20,000 bond after domestic dispute, arson

GUYTON, GA (WTOC) -

A Guyton man has been charged with first degree arson after a structure fire on Thursday night.

Effingham County deputies and fire responded to a home in the 100 block of Kensington Circle shortly before 10 p.m. on the report of a structure fire.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the master bathroom and bedroom.

According to the Effingham County Sheriff's Office, the fire was determined to be intentionally set following a domestic dispute.

Thomas Franklin Dodd, 27, was arrested in connection with the fire. His bond has been set at $20,000.

The incident remains under investigation.
