Savannah pub crawl attempts to break record for largest crawl

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

"The Crawl of the South" is to be held Saturday, May 31st and it will be Savannah's own attempt at the largest pub crawl in the world. 

Currently the Guinness World Record is held at 4,885 people by Kansas City, Mo.

"The Crawl of the South" will be coordinated by Stafford Promotions. The event organizer and owner of Stafford promotions says, "Not only do we want to beat Kansas City's record, we want to set the bar so high that Savannah stays in the book forever!"

The event will start at Ellis Square and stretch all the way to Rousakis Plaza on River Street. 30 bars will be participating in the festivities.

It is 20 dollars to register until 5 p.m. on the 31st. Anyone under 21 will not be permitted to participate.
