Teen killed in car crash; 17-year-old driver charged with DUI, homicide

Deputies identified Adam Di'Millo, 17, as the driver of a truck that crashed, killing his passenger, Paul Louis Castell, 17.

"Just seeing him lying there not responding, I just broke down," said Delton Cook, a passenger in the truck that crashed.

Investigators said the teens were leaving a house party in Cumming where several young people had been drinking.

"I had just talked him [Di'Millo] out of driving, but he decided to go again, somebody talked him into it," said Ben Fisher, a friend, referring to a conversation he had with the driver before the wreck.

Fisher said he did not drink at the party and said he tried to convince the teen who died to ride with him.

"I was telling him to, ‘Come on. Let's go. Let's leave,' and he said, ‘OK,' and then he ended up going with the other person," said Fisher.

Cook said Di'Millo was speeding when he lost control in a curve and hit a pole. He said he was sitting right next to Castell when he was ejected from the truck.

"I wouldn't say he's [Di'Millo] a murderer. [He] just made a mistake, but you have to lie in the bed you make, but by no means did he mean to do it," said Cook.
