Runway to Recovery inspires local cancer patients

The Annual Runway to Recovery Fashion Show was held at Armstrong on Saturday.

Folks enjoyed an afternoon of fashion, refreshments, and fundraising. The event supports local cancer patients who are undergoing treatments. Cancer survivors took to the runway to tell their stories.

"It helps you realize how beautiful you are on the inside, while showing what beauty you have on the outside, so I love it "My cancer center nurses are here, so it just shows that you have great support. My friends came; my daughter came; so, I have got a good support system," said Yolanda Kenny, fighting cancer.

WTOC's Sonny Dixon was the Master of Ceremonies for the event.
