Mother pleads guilty to reckless conduct after children found wandering streets

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Tia Randall, a 22-year-old Columbus mother accused of leaving her children home alone, pleaded guilty to all three counts of reckless conduct in Recorder's Court Tuesday morning, June 3.

The Judge gave Randall a $2,500 bond. The case will now go to state court. 

Randall was arrested after she left her three young children at home alone for hours, police report. The children, ages 2, 4, and 6 respectively, were found wandering the streets near Colonial Apartments just after midnight Monday morning, June 2.

Police and the Department of Children and Family Services waited for Randall to return home. She returned home about four hours later and was arrested.

Randall is charged with three counts of reckless conduct causing harm and endangering safety. She was taken to the Muscogee County Jail.

The children are currently in the care of a relative.
