Apple introduces new features on iOS 8
Apple introduced its latest update to the iPhone operating system iOS 8 at its annual World Wide Developers Conference Monday.
If you text a lot, some of the changes should make your life a lot easier.
Here are some things that will change -
Better notifications: When you get a notification for a text message, you can respond from whatever app you're using at the time without leaving. If a notification appears on the lock screen and you don't want to answer right away, you can flick it off the screen.
Quicktype: iOS 8 makes typing easier by suggesting appropriate words to complete your sentences based on what you type and to whom (ie. no more auto-correct errors).
'Do Not Disturb' in Messages: No more annoying group texts you can't opt out of. iMessage is the most used app on iPhone, so there are some big changes this time around. With Group Messages, you can name the thread, add and remove people and set "Do Not Disturb" to mute a thread.
Health: Apple has been pushing health and fitness apps. Health pulls together data from different health-related apps into one place, creating a comprehensive profile for the user. It also lets the users send health information to doctors at selected hospitals.
Plus-size swimwear company Swimsuits For All created a re-enactment of the cover, proving gorgeous curves go beyond a size four. The plus-size models and a plus-size fashion blogger hope to fight society's obsession with stick-thin bodies in a calendar for the fashion website.
