MARSHALL, TX (KLTV) - An East Texas man was arrested Tuesday night in connection to the death of an infant last month in Marshall.

The Marshall Police Department said they received a 911 call on May 6th, after a baby was found unresponsive at the Best Western Hotel on East End Blvd in Marshall. When police arrived, a paramedic rushed the infant to the hospital, where he later died. An autopsy was ordered on the boy's body, though the circumstances of the child's death were not released.

Police said Tuesday night, after results of the autopsy were received, a capital murder warrant was prepared for Deterryon Tyrell Kelly of Marshall. Police said Kelly is the boyfriend of the deceased infant's mother.

Deterryon Kelly was arrested Tuesday night at approximately 9:42 p.m. inside the city limits, and was booked into the Harrison County jail, charged with capital murder.

Kelly's bond has been set at $1 million.
