TOOMBS CO., GA (WTOC) -

A log truck driver charged in a fatal crash that killed two teens could face tougher charges.

Middle Circuit District Attorney Hayward Altman told WTOC on Thursday that he will likely introduce felony murder charges against James Earl Brown III when the case goes to a Toombs County grand jury this summer.

Brown is accused of colliding with Amber Mosley and Mary Beth Mosley on U.S. Highway 1 back in February. Investigators intially arrested him on vehicular homicide and DUI charges.

On Thursday, Superior Court Judge Bobby Reeves denied Brown a bond. He remains in the Toombs County jail.
