Schrenko Pleads Not Guilty

Former state school superintendent Linda Schrenko turned herself over to federal authorities yesterday. She arrived at the federal building just before 10am yesterday morning.

Last week, a federal grand jury handed down an 18-count indictment accusing Schrenko for stealing more than $600,000 in federal education funds.

Shrenko was in handcuffs as she entered the courtroom. She pleaded not guilty to the charges against her and was released on $40,000 bond.
