MCINTOSH CO., GA (WTOC) -

McIntosh County Assistant Superintendent Larry Day pleaded not guilty in court Thursday for failure to report child abuse.

Two other school officials, Superintendent Tina Kirby and McIntosh County Academy Principal Terrance Haywood, were also indicted in May for failing to report child abuse, but have yet to appear in court.

Haywood is also charged with lying to investigators, and Kirby is additionally charged with obstruction of an officer.

This stems from the investigation into Lori Quigley, a math teacher at MCA acussed of sexually assaulting some of her students.

Quigley was arrested March 15 on three counts of sexual assault by person with supervisory discipline authority.
