ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

It is a great time to stop by Krispy Kreme doughnut shop, take care of your sweet tooth, and don't forget the change.

Our local law enforcement are out in force for the doughnut shop cops collecting money to help our special Olympians get to the games.

Special Olympics has made such a difference in so many lives across the country. Just seeing the faces of those involved and you are hooked for life. You can help by stopping by the Krispy Kreme until 10pm Saturday on North Slappey and put your change in the bucket.

"Let me not forget the citizens of this great community people will drive by and turn around and come back grab change off their floorboards of their cars just to donate in the bucket trying to give something back," said Dougherty Sheriff Kevin Sproul.

The Masters Bowling event will be held in August in Warner Robins, Georgia.
