SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Around 500 people were without power for hours on Sunday after a large oak tree knocked down 6 power poles on Shipyard Road in Savannah.

Southside Fire responded to the incident and Georgia Power crews from Savannah, Brunswick, and Statesboro worked overnight to replace the 10 to 15 damaged power poles, which some were ripped right out of the ground and wires were ripped off one of the homes.

According to Georgia Power, all of the power has been restored.
