Friends and family gathered at Temple and Belt Streets just off Savannah's Staley Avenue last night to remember the victim of a violent crime. One year ago, Jabari Sloman left his grandmother's house nearby. Someone shot the 23-year-old. He died soon after.
They lit candles and comforted each other last night.
His mother, Annette Gardner, isn't giving up hope they'll catch the killer. "If anybody out there knows anything, please come to the family so the family can have some peace, because we need to know some answers and we will not rest until this case is closed."
If you know who shot Jabari Sloman, call police or CrimeStoppers at 234.2020.
