Supreme court upholds Savannah murder conviction

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The Georgia Supreme Court has upheld the murder conviction against a Savannah man accused of killing his wife. 

Prosecutors say Robert Johnson strangled and then fatally shot his wife, Mary Ellen, outside their Coffee Bluff home on the morning of Halloween 2009. 

A Chatham County judge sentenced Johnson to life with the possibility of parole plus 10 years.
