Fleet Feet is offering runners and people who want to get
into running the chance to train for the Rock and roll Marathon and Half
Participants gathered on Tuesday night to hear what is in
store for the 20 week training course that begins next week.
The groups meet early in the morning twice a week to prepare
for the race that will be held in November. Fleet Feet offers training for
runners in Savannah and Pooler.
The training will cover a variety of different things.
"Different types of training," said Fleet Feet Sports
Training Director Melissa Ramsey. "We will do speed work, some hill work, some
temp stuff, but we will also do some nutrition aspects, we will do the
different injury aspects. What to wear, what not to wear, anything and everything
that goes involved with training and endurance, we will cover it for them."
If you haven't already signed up to join one of the training
groups, there is still time. Sign-ups last through mid-July.
