ALMA, GA (WTOC) -

Greta Taylor laughed as she recalled two phone calls Monday.

The grandmother and retired nurse had given her son money to buy lottery tickets at the Three D convenience store on Pierce Street in Alma.

"First he called me to say 'Mama, I've won $400'. I told him, 'you should stop.' He said 'No, I've got a good feeling'. I told him okay, just not to spend all of it. Then he called me back and said 'I've won $1.5 million,'" she explained.

Taylor reminded her son that she'd paid for the winning ticket, but she would share the good fortune with him and the rest of her family.

"I don't need it, but it will help. All the grandkids are getting money," she explained.
