Deputies responded to the home and made contact with a male victim, who was suffering from a laceration to the back of his head sustained during the robbery.
According to the male victim, four males wearing primarily black clothing and bandanas or black mask covering their faces entered into their residence by forcing the door open. Two of the robbery suspects were armed with long guns.
The victim stated that he was struck on the left side of his head with an unknown object by one of the suspects causing him to fall to the floor. A female victim that was also inside the home at the time of the robbery stated that one of the suspects came into to her bedroom and took her cell phone and then took her purse before exiting the room.
All four of the robbery suspects then fled from home. The male victim was transported to East Alabama Medical Center where he was treated and released for his injuries. This case is still under investigation.
