Bobby Jones Expressway has been re-opened after a traffic crash Thursday evening.
Sgt. Glen Rahn from the Richmond County Sheriff's Office said deputies and Georgia State Patrol troopers responded to a crash around 8:50 p.m.
The crash closed all eastbound lanes of traffic between Wrightsboro Road and Gordon Highway, except for the left lane, according to Rahn.
The crash was caused when a Jeep Wrangler rear ended a PT Cruiser at a high rate of speed, causing the PT Cruiser to strike the back of a Jeep Commander, police said.
The Wrangler overturned, causing extensive damage to it, and the PT Cruiser.
Both occupants were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Rahn confirmed.
Georgia State Patrol will be handling the investigation of the wreck.
