LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Here are 10 things Kentuckiana will be talking about today:

  1. Storm chances - Meteorologist Christie Dutton says to take the umbrella with you today. You will likely see a few storms today, especially during the afternoon and early evening. 
  2. Boil water advisory - A Boil Water Advisory has been issued for several customers in Indiana after a sample tested positive for E. Coli.
  3. Arson press conference - The Louisville Metro Arson Squad will hold a press conference regarding a serial arson arrest at 10 a.m. More information will be available on WAVE3.com when the press conference is under way.
  4. Metro budget - Louisville Metro government will operate next year with a $551 million budget that includes 24 new police officers and a 2 percent for LG&E gas customers.
  5. Larchmont homicide - According to a LMPD spokesman, one man was shot and killed behind a home in the Taylor-Berry area and another man was stabbed and taken to the hospital
  6. Huddleston arrested - A police dog was sent in after a murder suspect was found hiding under the porch of a home on S. 30th Street. Quenton Huddleston is a suspect in a shooting that killed one man and left his sister critically wounded.
  7. Heat island - Louisville tops the list of heat islands in the U.S. Meteorologist Brian Goode explains why temperatures downtown can be so much higher than temperatures in the suburbs.
  8. Bullitt smoking banThe Kentucky Supreme Court overturned Bullitt County's smoking ban, saying the county's health board went too far.
  9. Pride parade - A parade kicking off Kentucky's Pride Month begins at Tryangles Bar at 7:30 p.m. and continues to the Belvedere.
  10. Shelby career fair - The Shelby County career expo kicks off at noon. The expo is at the Shelby Christian Church gym, located off Frankfort road, and lasts until 7 o'clock tonight.

    Protestors in downtown Savannah have surrounded Georgia State Senator Michael Williams' deportation bus and are preventing the bus from moving.  At least one person has been arrested so far.     A young Statesboro child is undergoing plastic surgery to her face after a dog attacked her on Saturday afternoon.  The girl is receiving treatment to close her gaping wounds as doctors work to keep scarring at a minimum.  You can see the original Facebook post here.
