(CNN) - What do you really think of your boss? A new national survey suggests a majority of Americans are actually pleased with their supervisors.

Careerbuilder.com put the numbers together after a survey of about 3,000 people and found most employees think their boss is doing an above-average job.

When asked to evaluate their bosses' performance, more than six in 10 U.S. workers said their manager deserves a grade of A or B. That's 63 percent of the people who were polled.

Only about 14 percent weren't very pleased with the person in the corner office. They gave their boss either a D or F.

The survey also found unusual requests lead to employees losing trust with their bosses.

Some of the actual responses from people include a boss asking one person to fire an employee then drive that person home.

One person said their boss asked them to like their Facebook videos.

And another employee claims their boss asked them to be better friends with him.

Ultimately communication seemed to be the reason why some bosses got better grades than others because according to the survey, workers who interacted frequently with their bosses were more likely to be happier at work, than those who don't.
