Runners get dirty for good cause at third annual JCB Mud Run

POOLER, GA (WTOC) -

The third annual JCB Mud Run was held Saturday, June 21st at 8 a.m. at the JCB headquarters in Pooler, Georgia.

Runners tackle a mud run course 5 miles long with 20 muddy obstacles throughout it.

All of the proceeds of the race go to the Lady Bamford Center for Early Childhood Development in Savannah.

The Lady Bamford Center provides educational instruction and guidance in the social skill development to children from six weeks to five years of age. The center strives to prepare children for kindergarten and elementary school.

The runners participate in teams and the event continues until 2:15 p.m. when the awards will be given out at the Dig the Ride award ceremony.
