Metro police investigate shots fired in Savannah

Posted: Updated:
SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Metro Police responded to reports of shots fired overnight in Savannah.

SCMPD responded to the  call at 40th and MLK late Sunday night. They're not positive at this time if someone was shooting at a specific house or just shooting in general.

A gas line was hit by one of the bullets, which caused a small leak in the area.

Savannah Fire responded and fixed the leak in short order.

Nobody was injured as a result, and SCMPD continues to investigate.

It happened in the area of 40th Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard around 12:30 a.m.
