The Williamsburg County Coroner identified the 7-year-old victim of a deadly fire near Hemingway that leveled a home and left five others injured Monday night.

D'Asia Williams of Florida died of smoke inhalation, the coroner's office says.

Williamsburg County Fire Chief Randy Swinton said this happened at 201 Canterbury Loop, about seven miles west of Hemingway. Nearby residents reported the fire at around 11:30 p.m.

A 13-year-old boy is in critical condition at the burn center in Augusta, Swinton said.

According to officials, the grandparents were taking care of their 5 grandchildren in the home. The grandmother suffered injuries and is being treated at McLeod Hospital. Three others were treated Kingstree Regional Hospital. Swinton says they have been released.

The grandfather was not hurt in the blaze.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. The Williamsburg County Sheriff's office and SLED are handling the investigation.
