Tradewinds Casino Cruise Lines postpones maiden voyage again

Posted: Updated:
TYBEE ISLAND, GA (WTOC) -

The maiden voyage for the Tradewinds Casino Cruise Line on Tuesday was canceled, with the announcement being made on the company's Facebook page.

This is another setback for the newest casino boat venture to hit the area, which had hoped to open more than a month ago.

WTOC went out to the boat's parking lot and no cars were present and the Escapade Casino Boat was still tied to the dock.

In April General manager Roger Humphries said they had hoped to be open by May 15 and were waiting on a liquor license.

On Facebook early Tuesday it was announced by the company, "We regret to inform everyone that we will not be sailing this evening. Our maiden voyage will be postponed until further notice. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience!"

This comes one day after Tradewinds told customers even without a liquor license, they would still sail and offer deals on match plays.

There has been no work on if the weather played a role in the delay or if it was something else.
