Nearly 200 proud mothers and fathers who completed the yearlong Parent University made up the graduationg class of 2014, and on Thursday night Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed was the keynote speaker.
Mayor Reed is a big fan of parent university.
"I am so proud of Parent University and Michael O'Neal," said Reed. "This has been a grassroots organization that has take on the most important mission that all of us have, and that is raising terrific young people so that they can take over for us in the future."
More than 5,000 parents, grandparenss and guardians have completed the program.
WTOC's Dawn Baker was honored to serve as the emcee for the graduation ceremony.
