SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

There are two brand new playgrounds in Savannah for the kids to roam and play.

Both playgrounds will be on the Westside, with one located at the Liberty City Neighborhood Center on Mills B. Lane Boulevard and the second in Feiler Park at Medding and Alamo Streets.

The Feiler Park playground has monkey bars and what the kids call a whirl, so you can bet they'll have fun this summer.

"Last year, in noticing the summer camp here, they didn't have anything to do when they came outside," said Savannah Alderman Estella Shabazz. "But now, the Neighborhood Association and the City of Savannah have made it possible.

With nearly 60 playgrounds throughout the city, Savannah is living up to its reputation as Playful City USA, recently designated from the nonprofit Kaboom!
