SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The 2014 U.S. Army Soldier Show made a stop at Hunter Army Airfield on Monday night.

The show featured a very unique group of soldiers, chosen after a long and tedious tryout process. The show included dancing, singing, and acting.

These soldiers dedicate a year to the show, traveling all over the country and the world, and this year, one of soldiers in the group grew up right here in the Coastal Empire.

"I actually spent eight years in the Fort Stewart area in the 366 Chemical Company. It is just awesome. I have not been back in a minute because I have been recruiting in Alabama, and then in Florida. So, it has been a blast from the past. It has been great to be back in the community and seeing people I used to know. It has just been great," said Tyrell Mays, Swainsboro.

Their next stop will be at Fort Gordon, right here in Georgia.
