PEMBROKE, GA (WTOC) -

Members of the 3rd ID celebrated the Fourth of July on Tuesday night with a concert and picnic in Pembroke.

This is the fourth year the city has hosted the event to celebrate the Independence Day holiday.

Hundreds of folks, old and young alike, came for good food, good fellowship, and good music, provided by the 3rd ID band. One of the band members was surprised by the huge turnout:

"It was absolutely wonderful. I have performed in churches before, I have come to towns just like this, but I have never in my life seen a turnout like this. The pews were absolutely packed. You go outside, you see all the American flags everywhere; it was set up wonderfully," said Jared Delaney, 3rd Band.

WTOC's very own Sonny Dixon served as the Master of Ceremonies for the celebration.
