Tyler Saladino of the Charlotte Knights will be in the Triple-A All Star Game coming up on July 16th. He will be the starting shortstop for the International League as they take on the best of the Pacific Coast League.
The 24 year old is hitting .304 for the Knights this season with 9 homeruns and 37 RBIs. So far this season, Saladino has tallied 14 doubles, 4 triples, and has stolen 6 bases. He has also scored 35 runs.
The San Diego native was originally drafted by the White Sox in the 2010 draft in the 7th round. 2014 is his first full season with the Knights.
The Triple-A All Star Game will be played at Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham, NC.
