SOUTHPORT, NC (WECT) -

No one was injured, but a few trees fell in Southport Thursday evening as Hurricane Arthur brushed past the coast.

Southport Fire Chief Charles Drew said the department respond to reports of trees down on Park Avenue, Moore Street and River Drive.

The tree on Park Avenue was cleared.  There is a tree still down on Moore Street, but that road is passable.

River Drive is still blocked by a tree. Chief Drew says the tree was so big that crews need to wait until the morning to fully clear it.
