LONDON (CNN) – The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is stepping up security for some flights headed to the U.S. from Europe and the Middle East.

The measures are due to heightened concerns that terrorists are developing more sophisticated explosives designed to avoid airport screening.

The U.K. government seems to be doing the same thing.
