Volunteer members of the Effingham County Red Cross Disaster Action Team responded to a fire early in the morning on July 5th on Kitty Drive in Guyton as well as a fire on Middleton Road.
The fire on Kitty Drive displaced two adults and two children. The family was provided funds for food, clothing and shelter by the Red Cross.
While Red Cross volunteers were responding to the fire on Kitty Drive there was another call to respond to a resident who was out of town while a fire occurred at his home on Middleton Road in Guyton.
The Red Cross provided one adult with funds for food and clothing. The resident will stay with relatives.
