Vehicle flips after hitting parked car in NMB

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - North Myrtle Beach Police and North Myrtle Beach Fire were called to the scene of a wreck Friday night on Main Street around 11 p.m.

A female motorist flipped upside down after hitting a parked, unoccupied car, according to Patrick Dowling.

The driver was trapped in the car and had to be extricated from her vehicle.

Dowling said that once emergency crews freed the driver, she was taken to Grand Strand Medical Center in serious but stable condition.

Officials are awaiting the results of a blood test that will determine if she was driving under the influence.

    Deputies with the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office are investigating after two gunshot victims were taken to a Beaufort County hospital on Saturday afternoon.  The two involved were at a home on Mackarel Drive and Marshland Road when deputies say they believe a suspect(s) fired a gun outside of the residence, striking the women.  Paramedics from the Hilton Head Island Rescue responded to treat and transport the women to a nearby hospital for further treatment.  ...More >>

    Those who spent time in downtown Savannah Saturday probably saw a lot of pink. The 2018 Komen Savannah Race for the Cure was held in Ellis Square. It's a race that raises money to support breast cancer prevention and treatment. Breast cancer survivors from all over joined together for the annual race.
