Pediatric physician and author Dr. Martha Bushore-Fallis stresses small choices for a big impact.

Tampa Bay, FL (PRWEB) July 08, 2014

Dr. Martha Bushore-Fallis committed her life to caring for children at the age of 5, and has spent her career in a succession of volunteer positions to protect and advocate for the life-threatened child. She has contributed 25 years to caring for victims of bullying and violence as a pediatric emergency physician, and is now focusing on a new artistic venture in the hopes of continuing her positive impact on her community and beyond.

In Dr. Bushore-Falliss new book, Book of Lyrics, she includes the lyrics and pictures portraying her musical drama, Freedom Found. The musical story tells of an immigrant family and their experience with bullying. Readers are encouraged to color the pictures and act out, read and discuss the message with family as a way to inspire children to adopt the values that will help lead them to a better future.

Dr. Bushore-Fallis created this experience to put an end to the horrific violence amongst our youth. She said, I chose theater, music and dance as educational methods for reaching the hearts of children and families to change their minds when words alone cannot do so.

Our world is rapidly becoming smaller. We are all connected and share responsibility for who we are and what part we play in what the world will become, Dr. Bushore-Fallis said. Each of us can work tirelessly and steadily to promote goodness and inclusive understanding of others who have different gifts, and discourage evil and exclusivity. With proper support, youth challenges are opportunities to demonstrate ones values. It is not how tough your challenges are, but how determined you are to overcome them and the core values that guide you that define character.
