DUNCAN, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Two crashes involving large trucks slowed traffic to a crawl for several hours on I-85 in Spartanburg County on Friday morning.

Troopers said the crash happened just before 5 a.m. on the northbound side of the interstate near mile marker 62.

Troopers said a delivery truck for Cromer Food Services collided with a PT Cruiser that was abandoned and illegally parked on the roadway.

About three minutes later, troopers said an unknown vehicle swerved to avoid debris in the road from the first crash, and crossed into the path of an 18-wheeler. The 18-wheeler also swerved to avoid hitting the other car and crashed into the delivery truck involved in the first crash.

The crash prompted lane closures and slowed traffic to a crawl for several miles.

According to the SC Highway Patrol Realtime Traffic Information board, no injuries were reported in the crash.

Troopers said no charges have been filed but the crash remains under investigation
