Did Kingston overstate Perdue's involvment in Pillowtex demise

"Perdue mismanaged Pillowtex and nearly 8,000 people got laid off," a Jack Kingston ad says, noting that his opponent in the U.S. Senate runoff election, David Perdue got "rich" from his job.

In November 2000, Pillowtex filed for bankruptcy after defaulting on a $650 million bank loan.The firm emerged from bankruptcy in May 2002. Perdue arrived in July after helping to revive Reebok's finances as CEO.
